Erectile dysfunction medications seized in Glengormley

Large quantities of unlicensed medications have been taken by Department of Health officials during a search of a home in Glengormley.
A guy was interviewed by department officers about illegally importing and subsequently providing unlicensed impotence medicines by means of the internet.
The 47-year-old was also questioned about other medication offences.
He will now be the of a report to the general public Prosecution Service.
The search was performed by the department’s Medicines Regulatory Group.
Its senior enforcement office, Peter Moore, said: “It is vital that we get the message across that unlicensed medications can be hazardous.
“These types of products being offered, typically online, have undergone no quality assurance and there can be no guarantee about their safety.
“You simply do not understand what you are taking or the conditions these items were made in. More notably, you do not know the result drugs like this might have on your health.”
